The Brief.
Maintain consitent customer retention levels throughout what is usually a difficult period for utility companies, Winter.
The Insight.
The last few months of 2016 were cold. Very cold. Complaints across socials were all focussed on two things, their broken boilers not being fixed fast enough. With this mounting negative sentiment across social channels there was a need to show our audience the lengths BG were willing to go to for their customers during the coldest part of the year when they're needed the most.

Two British Gas Engineers were put in a climate-controlled testing chamber and subjected to gale force winds, arctic temperatures, and blizzard-like conditions while they successfully fixed a boiler and fitted Smart Gas and Electric meters.
The resulting videos went out across Facebook and YouTube and succeeded in driving a significant increase in positive sentiment across social channels.
